Advantages

In comparison with the current EFC systems in use in Slovenia and other countries in
Europe, the introduction of the GNSS/CN based EETS in the free traffic flow could have several advantages.

advantages are:

- fair fee collection using the actual number of kilometers/miles driven,
- toll collection without vehicles stopping or slowing down,
- greater flexibility in fixing prices and the ability to influence traffic density,
- less environmental impact and an active role in reducing pollution,
- a higher total income and ease of determining toll and non-toll roads and highways,
- additional services for users and toll collection operators,
- increased safety for participants in traffic and
- new business opportunities.
